It's has been said that "timing is everything!"  But that's not always true.  It’s what we do with the time we have been given that makes the "everything.”

Ecclesiastes 9:11-12 says, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.”  We are all given time and chance!

One day a young man asked Jesus how to get to Heaven.  Jesus answered his question, but the young man never followed through.  This young man had come to the right person.  He had come at the right time (while he was young.)  He came with the right attitude.  He fell down and acknowledged that he was a sinner.  He asked the right question and he got the right answer, but he did the wrong thing.  God has given all of us 24 hours in a day!  He gives us all the opportunity to respond to His call in the time He has given.  What are you doing in the most important time of your life?  Today!  Do the right thing.  Make your time count!

Here are three ways to accomplish this:

1. Ask God for Direction!
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy paths.  That means putting God first in everything.  God promises to direct your very steps.

2. Ask God for Discernment!
Philippians 4:7 Let the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  God will give you peace in your heart that you're making a right choice.  Make your time count for His purposes.

3. Ask God for Discipleship!
Jesus said, "…If you continue in my word, you are truly my disciples.  And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31&32

This is why it is so important to read your Bible everyday!  Doing so will lead you in the truth of all the choices you will make today!  So, God bless you as you make your time count in making Christ your “everything.”
