Message from Pastor Leo April 15, 2008
Do you feel the love of
Jesus? I do. What can I say? I am
baptized in the Holy Spirit and I feel the love of Jesus. I’ve got joy, right now, because I live in
anticipation that Jesus could call us home at any minute. The scriptures tell us “the Day of the
Lord comes as a thief in the night.” 1 Thes 5:2 “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for
the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we
shall be changed.” 1
Cor 15:52 And Jesus us told us, very clearly, that we
are to live as if the rapture could happen at any moment: “Therefore you
also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Luke 12:40 “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.” Matt 24:42 Read all of Matthew 24 and get a sense of
the urgency – of the importance – of living as if Jesus could come again at any
moment. Now, does that mean we don’t
pay our taxes or don’t clean the house or put gas in the car? Of course not. But it does mean that we are to do as God commands and “Go
into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15
You know that we are in this world for a moment of time, right? You have your children for a moment of
time. You have your friends and family
for a moment of time. You have your
marriage for a moment of time. You’ve
got whatever God has given you for just a moment of time. Moses wrote: “So teach us to number our
days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalms
90:12
And when you stand in front of the Lord, what will be the things that
count? The things you have done for
Christ. The things you’ve done to
participate in the kingdom of God. We
are in this world to evangelize it and then to bring to maturity each believer,
that’s the purpose of the church.
That’s also the purpose of Real Life Radio.
The sole purpose of Real Life Radio is to “Reach the world for Jesus”
and that’s just what we’re doing. God
provides for this ministry through people like you. I believe Real Life Radio rests upon God, and that God is giving
you and me the opportunity to be part of it.
So, I want to bring you up to date on the ministry because we are
growing! In the last two months, we’ve
added several new stations to our broadcast family. Please check the list below; if you’re in their listening area,
I’d like you to write or send an e-mail and thank the station managers for
carrying our program. Also, keep these
station managers in your prayers - God has put it upon their hearts to
broadcast Real Life Radio, and we need to pray that they will be blessed for
their obedience. Then enter the story
and be the people who turned the whole world upside down for Jesus! How did they do it? Through their participation; they gave their
time, their money, and their lives to spread the gospel!
Now, be sure to read your Bible this week. Read your Bible and draw closer to Jesus. Read your Bible and look for the scriptures
where God tells us to be ready for the Day of the Lord. Search the scriptures and find His commands
to reach out to the lost in Jesus’ name.
Read your Bible – and then do what it says.
