September 15, 2007 Do you know the Creator? Do you see His hand in nature - in
everything, every little thing? Can
you stand up among the nay-sayers and know that God is the Great Creator? King Solomon did. After looking back
at all of his life, all the ups and the downs, after having been the wisest man
in history and debating with the best, after singing like Frank Sinatra, ‘I Did
It My Way,’ Solomon came to the conclusion: “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth.” The prophet Isaiah cries out, “Hast thou not known, hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the
Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not and neither is weary. There is no searching of His understanding.”
(Isaiah 40:28) God speaks and says: “I AM the Lord, your Holy One, the Creator
of Israel, your King.” Thus saith the
Lord who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters” (Isaiah
43:15-16). Paul
the apostle says to the church in Rome, Italy: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of
God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to
the Greek. For therein is the
righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just
shall live by faith. For the wrath of
God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God
is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.” (Romans 1:16-19) How? For the invisible things of God from the creation
of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”
(Romans 1:20). Paul is telling the church that in creation, God has put
His stamp, His seal, of who He is. And
all of the world that we observe and look at, whether it is under the
microscope or through binoculars, or whether we are touching or handling or
tasting or seeing for ourselves, it all speaks of our Creator - even the
invisible things. That’s how alive
God’s creation is. That’s how important
creationism is. The men who have come along and said there is no God, this
world was not created but has evolved by chance mutation, these are the very
ones Paul is talking about, “Because that
which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto
them. For the invisible things of him
from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things
that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without
excuse. Darwin and all that would follow him are without
excuse. All the teachers and professors
that still teach that garbage are without excuse. Then why do they continue to spread the lies and believe
as they believe? “Because that, when
they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became
vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darken professing
themselves to be wise, they became fools.”
(Romans 1:21-22) Don’t ever be fooled when someone says, “I don’t
understand; I just can’t see it.” That’s
a lie. It’s a cover-up because God has
made it plain. God has made it clear in
nature and in His word. All you have to
do is take a walk outside and you can see God’s handiwork. All you have to do is read the Bible and you
will know God’s word – you will know God. So read your Bible.
Read it every day. May The Lord Jesus Christ Be Magnified! |
