One day Jesus was talking to his disciples and said to them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15  If Jesus was here today and He had a conversation with you, He might say, “Are you a believer?”

And you reply, “Yes I am.  What do you want me to do?”

He would tell you, “I want you to go into all the world and preach the gospel.”

Now to some of you that means leaving everything and going to Africa.  To others it means going to Los Angeles or into a gay neighborhood.  To others it means starting a piano tuning business and going into people’s homes.  To others it means working at a college or working at a school.  There are many different ways to go into all the world.  Yes, some of you will to go to Africa and China – not everyone.  But you are to go into the world in which you live and preach the gospel and share the Good News.  If you belong to Jesus that’s what He wants us to do.  That’s what He expects.

Of course, in this time and this age when it’s not politically correct to stand up and say, “Merry Christmas,” you may have to be a little creative.  There are some places where you are not allowed to proselytize or preach the Gospel, so you’re there as a silent voice for God.  When you’re talking to people you can be praying, under your breath, “Lord, get ‘em.  Show this person how much you love them.  Save them Lord.”  Or if you get a chance to be in the boss’s office, maybe straightening up before he gets there, you can pray all over the office and say, “Lord, would you put your Spirit in this room so that when my boss walks in he will sense that you are real.  And, Lord, please work on our relationship so that he senses I am on his side and I’m a good guy in the corporation and I want to see him be successful.”

You have to be creative because there are all sorts of laws … but you’re not supposed to stop doing it.  You’re not supposed to say, “Well, God, I can’t share Christ or the Gospel message with anyone because I’m not allowed to at my work.  So I can’t do it.”

You never tell God you can’t do it.  If God tells you to do something, you do it because you believe.  You do believe, don’t you?  Is there anything too hard for God?  No!  You believe God and so you subject yourself.  For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?  Mark 8:36  Step out in faith!  And since you believe this is real, then, wherever there’s a no – you try to find a yes.  Get creative.  Ask God how you, in your situation, can fulfill His commands.  And then, read your Bible and allow Him to speak to you and to show you how to be obedient.  That’s who the people of God really are.

Read your Bible and listen to God.
