     The story of our Bible is that God does for you what you can’t do for yourself.  Many people think that “God helps those who help themselves.”  This idea is not from the Bible.  In fact, way back when God began the nation of Israel, He used Abram not because he had worked hard for it, but because of His faith.

     The Bible tells us that Abram believed God, “ . . . and He counted it to him for righteousness.” Genesis 15:6  To believe in the Lord is the foundation of Christianity and true salvation.

     Many people have Christianity all turned around and think that it is about doing good things so that God will accept you.  But this is the basis of all other religions.  The message of the Bible and salvation is that God helps those who can’t help themselves.  If this isn’t true, then there is no salvation for any of us because sin is so strong that it has us all chained up.  There is no human that can unchain himself, and no other humans that can come and help unchain you!  Nothing but the blood of Jesus can unchain you, and set you free.

     “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

     I believe that God wants me to tell you that He is in your corner.  Give Him a chance to do for you what you can’t do for yourself.
